Espresso Royale Caffe

Espresso Royale is my favorite place to get coffee on Newbury Street. It's nicely lit and has a cozy atmosphere. I had the Yerba Mate latte with soy milk, which is to die for. Mate is my favorite type of tea (and ridiculously good for you, too) yet, I have such a hard time finding a cafe that serves it. I'm also quite partial to the green tea latte, and their pastries are also quite tasty.

Roche Bros Inc

This Roche Bros is intense. Having shopped at the small one in Natick for my whole life, exploring this brand new one in Wellesley (which is actually closer to my house than the one in my own town) was ridiculous. I LOVE to cook, and Roche Bros offers a variety of EVERYTHING, including many green options. I mean, I love Trader Joes and all, but I have to travel to get to one, so I was really pleasantly surprised to see that many of the things I would've gotten at TJ's, I could get at Roche Bros.

Bagel Rising

I spent a lot of time with an ex that lived down the street from Bagel Rising and boy do I miss it. The bagels, I mean.

The breakfast sandwiches are to die for, but they have so many varieties (bagels, spreads alike) that I will absolutely never get sick of the place. It is very vegan/vegetarian friendly, and they offer recyclable trays and eco-friendly cups (similar to Espresso Royale.. I think they're part of the same company). They offer a nice selection of organic beverages, too!

Sel De le Terre is a fancy new restaurant located in the Natick Mall next to Neiman Marcus. It is on the expensive side ($15ish for brunch, $25-ish for dinner entree), but the food is definitely worth it.

I had the french toast for brunch. It was amazing, that's all I really could say. it was perfectly crispy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside, not too eggy. They use Brioch bread, which I had never tried before, but oh baby, is it a new favorite of mine.

Tj Scallywaggles Vegan House Of Pizza And Subs

TJ Scallywaggles is an awesome vegan pizza and sub shop with a DIY feel. They don't offer menus apparently--you have to go up and look at a sheet of paper glued to cardboard to find what you want. I guess in this way they are saving on paper!

The pizza is amazing.. I've never tried the subs. I've had the buffalo "chicken" nuggets, and besides the texture you wouldn't even be able to tell the difference. Every ingredient is vegan. They stress that everything they offer is cruelty free, so hopefully that means they are also likely to be organic and fair trade.

I LOVE Grasshopper. Ever since I was a young'n attending shows at the Jackson Mann and ICC Church, I've been going to Grasshopper afterwards. It's just become tradition. (I also tend to frequent TJ Scallywaggles next door.. but never after a concert for some reason).

This is my favorite coffee shop in Brighton. I always go here and stock up on bags of freshly ground coffee. I haven't tried their foods, but they look amazing. I have some insider info from a friend that works there, that says the managers are health and environmentally conscious. They are extremely vegan friendly (as my friend who works there is vegan), and are often experimenting with different vegan recipes to put on the menu.

The Aztec offers authentic tasty and large-portioned Mexican dishes and is located right on the border between Natick and Framingham. For Mexican food aficionados, it's definitely worth the trek!

Herrell's is one of those places that I see all the time, but have rarely stepped foot inside (not for any reason). The other day, my friend was getting tattooed at StingRay across the street so I decided to relax and grab a beverage. I bought a chai latte for my friend and a pumpkin spice latte for myself. They offer many different drinks, but it's one of those places that are a bit hit or miss. My latte tasted like chemicals, but my friend's chai was fantastic. The atmosphere was nice and quiet, and I do hear they have good ice cream.
