The Good:
The Buttery is an amazing place to take a book and sit outside to enjoy a lazy Sunday. The warm colors and delicious smells make the Buttery a very welcoming hideaway. My personal favorite is the Eggs in a Hole, which is hollowed brioche with eggs cooked in the middle, amazing. They also have a wonderful selection of baked goods. True to their name the frosting on their cupcakes is buttery smooth. They are also big into animals, and every dog get free biscuits and water.

Bella Sante provides a beautiful atmosphere that matches the skilled treatments. Walking into the Spa is like removing yourself from the chaos of everyday life. The space is very tranquil and relaxing, with a very clean and spare decoration within the rooms. The provide nondisposable slippers, robes, and towles in the locker room, which is nice to know that they are not just throwing things away after one use. They do have a mix or organic and non organic products that they both sell and use with treatments, like phytomer.

Bruegger's is your typical coffee/bagel shop, but I must commend them for their amazing ice coffee. They use fair trade, Green Mountain Coffee products in both their regular and iced coffee. I suggest the wild blueberry iced coffee. They also have an organic French roast that is quite amazing. While I love that a big corporation is providing some great business for fair trade coffee, there are several other areas that need to be worked on. The take away products come in non biodegradable containers.

 

Bad Driver = Better Planet...In My Case

I never thought in a million years I would be thankfull that I am a terrible driver, but it has done a lot of good for the planet... and a greater service to pedestrians. In highschool I encouraged carpooling so I would not have to drive, I detested being behind the wheel, and quite frankly the world is a safer place without me there. I am proud to be car free for nearly 4 years (except a minor stint in LA which ended in me hitting one or two parked cars), and really hope that I never have to buy one!

yeah, I try to be "meat light", as I slowly transition away from it. However, I will stick to my amazingly tasty Soy Corndogs(yay Morningstar) before I try lab made phony bologna.
