What is the Buzz?
The Buzz is IzzitGreen's community blog. It is a collection of many voices and features a variety of styles and topics. The next voice in the Buzz could be yours!
How do I submit?
Submit ideas or posts for the Buzz by using our submission form or sending an email to submissions@izzitgreen.com.
What can I write about?
Anything! Environmental issues are about connections. Take whatever interests you—gardening, motorcycles, knitting—and ask "is it green?"
IzzitGreen has a focus on sustainable business practices and the interaction between business owners and their customers.
Here are some common types of posts:
- Personal experience Let us know about your journey through this brave new murky green world.
- Commentary on news Share the thought-provoking things you find on other news outlets or blogs and serve it up with your own personality and opinions.
Guidelines for submission
Some tips to keep in mind while writing posts for the Buzz:
- Length Shoot for is 250 to 500 words, but longer posts are okay, too.
- Links Link liberally! Make sure to let us know the source of your info.
- Photos Got a great photo to go along with your post? Post it to flickr and send us the URL.
- Video Sending us a YouTube link is the easiest way to include video in your post.
What if I just have an idea, not an entire article?
That's fine. We are always excited to get tips about what our community finds interesting. Let us know what you'd like to see us write about in the Buzz.
