Remember that gigantic floating island of plastic trash they discovered in the Pacific ocean a while back?  Well, it's growing, and even though most of us have heard of it, we're probably not really all that conscious of the fact that it's a real problem. 

To help raise awareness a group who call themselves the "JUNK Team" are sailing from California to Hawaii on a raft/sailboat made of, yep, plastic junk taken from the floating plastic island.  Right now they're somewhere off the California coastline, you can follow their progress on their blog, JUNKRAFT.
