Just in case you haven't yet heard, Brett Favre isn't the only athlete to make a comeback this season - Lance is back! The seven time Tour de France winner is aiming for an eighth, but this time the mountains, the peleton, doping rumors and the French press aren't the real enemies. Those were mere battles. To hear Lance speak of his bike now, is to hear a man hell bent on winning a war - a war against cancer.

Green Team: Just Say Yao!

Yao’s not exactly running under the radar in Beijing these days. Heck, at 7-6, Yao may be running over the radar! But you can’t start any discussion about these Olympics and their green/sustainability/globalization/human rights story without yelling Yao first.

Large-as-life statue of liberty... made out of Styrofoam?

Perhaps it’s a fitting tribute to a country that wore the ‘Biggest Polluter’ crown for so long: a 130-foot, 50,000-lb replica of the Statue of Liberty, made entirely of foam and sprayed-on plastic. The company that commissioned the statue, however, wasn’t trying to be ironic or make a point.
